Drywall is priced per m². The rate depends on the number of board layers, the insulation and the shape of the room — a straight partition sits at the bottom of the range, a curved ceiling with concealed lighting at the top.

Board, profiles, mineral wool and filler are normally not included. For a 10 m² partition that's roughly HUF 40,000 – 90,000 in materials.
What can you hang on it?
The most common question, and it's decided before boarding. Wherever a TV, basin, kitchen unit or grab rail will go, noggins or extra profiles must be fitted first. Retrofitting with special plasterboard fixings works but carries a fraction of the load. Say up front what goes where — it doesn't cost more, it just needs planning.
Acoustic performance
- Empty, single-boarded wall: weak; speech carries through.
- Double-boarded with mineral wool: around 45–50 dB, the right answer between a bedroom and a living room.
- The smallest gap ruins it — junctions with floor and ceiling matter most.
- Services (pipes, socket boxes) in the wall reduce performance; offset boxes rather than placing them back to back.
