Do I need an instrument for the first lesson?

What age can a child start?

Music sessions from 5–6, instrument lessons usually from 6–8. Drawing has no lower limit, sessions are just shorter for little ones.

Will the teacher come to us?

Many will, usually with a call-out fee or a higher hourly rate. For piano that's the norm, since the instrument can't travel.
